I just bought your theme yesterday, went to install it, and got an error. The upload succeeded but when I activated it I got a 500 error. My entire site (admin and front-end) was unavailable at that point. I SSHed in to the server (its on AWS) and deleted the MDW theme folder, then rebooted the instance. I was able to view the site again and restored from my backup. I still don’t know why it would not install. There was this entry in the server log (/var/log/httpd/error_log) of syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/mdw/inc/helpers.php on line 1022 and it seems like every visitor gets the error. Please help. Thanks.

I had some other issues with my WordPress install so I migrated from AWS to WPEngine and it works great now. I had some issues on my AWS instance and migrating removed them. Please disregard this question.
