    this css rule is repositioning and giving my footer content a white background. How do I get rid of it?

    li.widget > ul, li.widget > .textwidget, div.widget > .calendar_wrap, li.widget_calendar > .calendar_wrap, div.widget-item > ul, div.widget-item > .calendar_wrap {
    position: relative;
    top: -2rem;
    z-index: 4;
    background-color: #fff;
    }

    Hi Jon
    To change this color simply add custom css styles in css/style.css in MDW theme directory. To do this on a specific element of your site just do :

    li.widget > ul, li.widget > .textwidget, div.widget > .calendar_wrap, li.widget_calendar > .calendar_wrap, div.widget-item > ul, div.widget-item > .calendar_wrap {
    background-color: #86fff2;
    }

    If this won’t work try adding ‘!important’ after color
    background-color: #86fff2!important;

    Greetings
