Post adding
- To run your website you need content. Usually, it is placed in the posts, but not only. For now, we will learn how to add and customize the posts. Go to
PostsandAdd new. - Name your post. If you have already prepared text, feel free to use it. I will use for this example Lorem Ipsum, which is useful if you don't have already prepared content, but you want to check the appearance of the text. You may use it as well. It's available under following link http://www.lipsum.com.
- Copy your content and paste it in the area below the
Titlesection.
Media adding
- You may additionally add Media if you want. Here how you can do that - click on
Add Mediabutton. - Then
Upload files... - ...and
Select files. - Now find a photo you want to add. Click on it and then
Open. Insert into post- Now you have your photo in the text. You may change its position in the text. Click once the photo, then bar with alignment will appear. You can choose
Left,Center,RightorNone(no alignment). - You may also take a look at the more options by clicking
Edit(Pencil icon). If you do that, Image Details will pop up on your screen. There is:-
Caption- a description which will appear below the photo -
Alternative Text- if somehow your photo will not be displayed, then text which you will put in this area will appear instead -

- - Size of the photo
- - Link To - it is an action which will be triggered after the clicking the photo

Feature Image adding
- Your post needs a feature image. It is the photo or a graphic you want to placed on the top of your post. Of course, you may not set the feature image, but then your post will not look very interesting. This procedure is basically like adding media. Find the
Feature image. - Then click
Upload files, - and
Select files. - Now find the photo you want to add. Click on it and then click
Open. - Now
Set feature image.
NOTE!
Always remember to click
Publish(orUpdate, if you have done any additional changes after publishing). Otherwise, your post will not be saved.
